The World of The Circus Money
THE ROUTES
Balchik, 2000–2002 · distances in km, the free walk in minutes, the fast bus for 10 stotinki
The pins hold small pieces of the story: never the parts that cost the most. Click freely. Or read the book first, then come back and check the map against your memory.
Every route here was priced before it was walked. The one through the fence is not drawn. It was never drawn. The sea is real, and not visible from the flats.
A memory map: points sit where memory puts them, not where the cadastre does. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
First the sun went out over Balchik. The next summer a circus came up the coast road with a tiger nobody ever saw, and Niko learned that a story can be worth more than the truth, if you sell it right. Every pin on this map is in the book. Almost everything in it happened.
